Urinating on Jesus
Was Larry David always this crude? Would he think it comedic if someone urinated on a picture of his mother? This might be fun to watch, but since HBO only likes to dump on Catholics (it was just a couple of weeks ago that Sarah Silverman insulted Catholics on “Real Time with Bill Maher”), and David is Jewish, we’ll never know.
This guy, he always gets on my nerves. First of all, he roundabout admits to not being at all familiar with the pop culture he is complaining about. Yes, Larry David has always been crude. Seinfeld episodes ranges from masturbation, stopping short and grabbing your way to 2nd base, public urination, human trafficking of Guatemalans, and lots of sex.
Curb Your Enthusiasm is basically Seinfeld, but unedited. And inadvertently splashing urine on Jesus is probably one of the tamest things he has done.
It’s easy to make your case that the show is crude, especially when someone tells you, “Larry David pisses on Jesus.” But, they are purposefully misrepresenting the situation to gain an ally. Which is how the Catholic League and Bill Donahue in particular operate.
And no, HBO does not just dump on Catholics. What a crybaby. Somebody call the Whaaaaaambulance.
