I’m a Republican. I’m a conservative. I am Christian. When my friends criticize my political views, usually they question how I can not love one of “our own.” How can I say bad things about conservatives, Republicans and Christians? It’s easy. They say bad things about everyone else.

Not all of them. Not most of them. Just some of them. It’s those few who really drive me to speak up. Because I feel like I am pressured to not speak up because they frame their arguments in a manner than anyone who has a problem with their position must hate America or Democracy or freedom.

Specifically, Sarah Palin. She lies, misrepresents the facts, and presents an insincere image of who she really is. I spent about 20 minutes on FactCheck.org last year, and while it’s true that all politicians bend the facts, only a select few march through the fact jungle with a machete, slashing and burning a path through that forever changes the landscape. This is the Palin Policy. It’s 100% about image and -100% about substance.

My friends hold Obama, Biden, Pelosi and others accountable for their words and actions, yet I seem them granting a free pass to anyone they are a “fan” of just because of some pathetic two sided political party team mentality.

The only way you are really going to capture the America of your dreams is to support real politicians and real people.

Sarah Palin drives me crazy. But it’s not her I have so much a problem with as it is her followers. A lone idiot is harmless, but an idiot with fans is dangerous.

These are not idiots, however. They are merely people who have been taken advantage of. They follow their heart, not their head. If you look at how Sarah Palin presents herself, you find only emotionally charged rally cries and political double speak in typical political fashion about her politics being atypical and honest. Which is pathetic really.

All I am asking you to do is to stop and look at the facts, the issues and the real arguments. Go to verifiable resources like FactCheck.org and others to get your info. Not from the candidates web sites, twitter feeds, blogs or from YouTube and Facebook.

Like I said, I am a conservative, Christian Republican. And I can’t stand Sarah Palin. I’m going rogue here against the Palin supporters and everything she stands for.
